A day under the ‘Tuscan’ sun at Lisadurne Hill
What a beautiful day we had under the ‘Tuscan’ sun at Lisadurne Hill last week! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this incredible experience.
A special thanks to Tina, Russ & co for being such gracious hosts, welcoming us with warmth and generosity. Your hospitality made the day unforgettable. And of course, a big thank you to our historian Sam, who had everyone hanging on your every word — your storytelling truly brought the past to life!
A huge shoutout to dear friend and Rushworth local Kylie @thefloristsgarden for your wonderful suggestions — your expertise added such a special touch to the day. And thank you to my old high school photography teacher, mentor and cherished friend Shorty @kerryshort7 for capturing these moments on camera — your photos truly tell the story of the day.
The sun was shining, the air was warm, and the company was simply fantastic. We were able to step back in time, exploring the rich history of Rushworth, one of the few towns in Victoria with its main street entirely heritage-listed. From the old court house to the charming Town Hall, the historic architecture made us feel like we were walking through a living story.
After our stroll through Rushworth, we ventured just a few minutes outside of town to Lisadurne, where we toured the stunning homestead garden and olive grove. The history and processes behind their internationally acclaimed Lisadurne Hill Olive Oil and organic rose hydrosol left us in awe. We even got a front-row seat to the making of a hydrosol, using botanicals grown right on the property, while sampling their exquisite olive oils and balsamics.
To cap off the day, we enjoyed a delicious gourmet picnic under the shade of the garden, soaking up the beautiful landscape. It was the perfect setting to share stories make new friends.
As a token of gratitude, all guests took home a special gift bag, including a gorgeous range of products and recipes to play with.
It was truly a stunning day, and I’m forever grateful for the connections made and the memories shared. Tina and I are very happy to confirm that we will definitely be doing this again.
With love, Samantha x
