Visit a forgotten Central Victorian Gold Rush town, and one of the village’s oldest homesteads, Lisadurne, Est. 1876, now a producer of internationally acclaimed Lisadurne Hill Olive Oil and organic rose hydrosol.

A day to imagine lifestyles of the past and appreciate the pace of farm life, to create a product that is chemical free and nurturing for body and soul.

Begin the day with a stroll down the wide palm-lined main street of the historic Gold Rush town of Rushworth, which along with Maldon, is one of only two towns in Victoria to have their main street entirely heritage listed. Much of the early architecture remains preserved in its original condition, including the old court house, timber lock-up and grand Town Hall. Opportunity to grab a coffee from Gus & Ollie's and a quick stop by The (gorgeous) General Store.

Five minutes out of town we tour the homestead garden and olive grove at Lisadurne and learn about the history and the processes involved in the creation of their acclaimed olive oil and rose oil products. Watch the making of a hydrosol using botanicals grown on site whilst tasting their stunning olive oils & balsamics.

Complete the afternoon with a gourmet picnic featuring locally grown produce in the shade of the garden whilst discussing aspects of small business, modern agriculture, and dry climate gardening, history and dreams for the future.

All guests will take home a gift bag containing a hydrosol made on the day, handcrafted olive oil soap from the Lisadurne Hill range, a bottle of Lime Argrumato, instructions on how to make your own hydrosol at home and 10% off The Rose Collection & Lisadurne Hill products purchased on the day.
